One Lovely Blog Award

Hello everyone! We were nominated by the lovely lady   Snow White Hates Apples  for this award. Thank you Aria! We have never been nominated for an award before so we’re really excited!!! We thought your 7 facts about you were funny by the way. We are kind of similar. Especially your number 4. 😂  That was great.

The Rules

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link their blog.
  • Add the One Lovely Blog Award logo to your post.
  • Share 7 things about yourself.
  • Pass this on to as many people as you like (max 15).
  • Include this set of rules.
  • Inform your nominees.

7 Facts About Annatasia

1. I am such a bookworm… So I have physical books, two different types of  nooks and a kindle fire. I have at least 100 physical books that I know of, 10,000+ kindle books and at least 5,000 to 8,000 books on my old nook. I have way more books on my new nook, the samsung tablet but I don’t know how many… I know it’s a lot, but I can’t help myself. I needs them. So. Bad.

2. I am extremely into watching Supernatural. I just love them. I think they are hilarious and I love the music that is played. The dynamic between Dean and Sam is great as well. Oh and I love baby. I watch them on Netflix all the time. I am currently on season 10. Here is Dean for ya freaking out in front of Cass. 🙂

3. I read more than I can keep up with reviewing, so I am behind on that. Although I am slowly working on reviewing books that I have read long ago like Things Fall Apart.

4. I am an empath. I feel the feelings, thoughts, pains and many many others things of other people and animals. Sometimes it can be overwhelming but I think it is a gift. This can be very helpful for me and many people. Not very many people know this about me but I think that people should, it is something worth talking about. It is a beautiful thing to have and share.

5.  I love being outside but for some reason whenever I am outside  little birds seem to think it’s okay to shit on me. Birds always do this to just me even if there are other people outside with me, they will gravitate toward me and shit near me or on me. It just happens. It is always the little birds that hate me, I really don’t get it. The larger ones are fine with me but the little ones not so much.

6. Most of the time when I read I react to everything the characters do by laughing or talking back to them. Or yelling maybe even crying. So most of the time I look like a nut job in public but I guess it’s always good to keep the people in the real world guessing, right? Someone has to keep them on their toes. well i guess I cant hide my crazy

7.  I am a night owl = I prefer the night time instead of the day time. I really don’t sleep much and I have insomnia so more than likely my posts will be done at night time or late afternoon. If not then I have scheduled them during the daytime because I am tricky.  Cue wicked laugh…

7 Facts About Tracy

1.I have a nook and a kindle just like Annatasia does. Our nooks are the nook color, the new Samsung nook tablet 7 and the kindle fire. By the way my kindle fire is purple and hers is black.

2. I struggled with reading in first grade so I had to get extra help and once I learned how to read there was no stopping me.

giphy-downsized (1)

3.I go through periods of time where I read book after book but then I’ll stop reading books and I’ll read articles online. Or I’ll read magazines and newspapers and then eventually I go back to books. It is a never ending cycle.

4.I can read more than one book at a time and keep all details separate. Annatasia does this too.

5.I don’t like spoilers so if someone else is reading the same book as me but is farther than I am I don’t want to know anything. Don’t tell me any twists!

6.I still buy real books sometimes even though I still have 200 or so that I still need to read.

Bernard dancing in the room full of books.gif

7.I am thinking about subscribing to a monthly book subscription but I am still trying to figure out what one.

Now remember that you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to this is for fun and because we appreciate you and your blogs.  ❤  Enjoy!

No Ideas But in Things

A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it.

Product DetailsDangerous Kiss: A Rock Star Romance (Dangerous Noise Book 1)

Blackthorne is about shifters mainly and witches but you can tell by the wings and the scales on the heart which is on the black cover. Amazing book by the way, I’ll have to do a review for it sometime it is just too good not to do one.

Dangerous Kiss is about exactly what it says it is. It is about a kiss between two people who already have a past that at some point it got muddied up and twisted. Will it be fixed or will there hearts be broken in the end? That’s why that kiss is so dangerous because you don’t know what will happen.

Dark and Lovely

A cover that is so creepilicious, that you want to eat it up.

Can we just take in how lovely these are? Even though they are creepy? I just love em!!! You have now entered The Twilight Zone. 😀 I’m kidding, I’m kidding… Or am I?

The Simple Aesthetic

A book cover that stuns with the most minimalist of designs.

Product Details Product Details

There is something about the beauty of something simple and I love these. I have never read either of these but I do own A Necessary Darkness. So I suppose I can read that one quicker than the other one.  I would like to read both.

Cover Envy

A book you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet.

Product DetailsPhantom Limb: A Gripping Psychological Thriller

I would really like these two little pretties on my shelf. Don’t they look simply marvelous?

Traveling Abroad

A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own.

Zazie, a precocious and cheeky teenager, explores Paris in this poetic and playful novel. When it came out in 1959, it shattered the world of traditional literature and influenced a generation of writers and filmmakers with its surrealist tone. Reading this novel is a very charming way to discover Paris. You'll love it if you like: Harriet the Spy, Alice in Wonderland, surrealism, and the French Nouvelle Vague.Buy it here.

This travels to France and I live in the U.S. I would really like to read this book. It sounds really good!

The Colour Wheel

A cover that showcases one of your favourite colours.

Gilmore Girls Book Tag

Alright, so I was tagged by the lovely @Padfoot_andprongs to do this tag so I decided… why not? It looked fun!

I am not sure who the creator is so I am sorry I did not mention them, now…
Let’s do this!

gilmore girls.gif

1. I JUST GOT HIT BY A DEER – character having the worst day ever

Harry Potter or Ron Weasley, I feel like they need a break, please?

Product Details

2. STARS HOLLOW – wildly eccentric cast

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins and/or Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children By Ransom Riggs

Product DetailsProduct Details

Both good books, haven’t completely finished Ransom Riggs book yet though because I keep forgetting to start reading it again. Random thought, I know. Have finished Hex Hall by the way.

3. COFFEE – a book you’re addicted to/a character w/ an addiction

That would have to be Vishous, from Lover Unbound by J. R. Ward because he is addicted to taking care of others even at the cost of his own health. He is a man of worth, like they like to say in that series. That is such a beautiful thing, to see him be so selfless. He is most definitely one of my favorite characters from The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series but also just in general.

Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5)

4. SOMEONE DEVIL EGGED BY CAR?! – great act of revenge

I’d have to say Carrie by Stephen King. She is a poor thing even with all the things that happen. Oh boy.

Product Details

5. MR. MEDINA – an illicit affair

The Scarlet Letter Thrift Study Edition (Dover Thrift Study Edition) by [Hawthorne, Nathaniel]

Having an affair with a man of God is definitely bad, neither party should have done so. Plus the shaming only goes to the women because the man does not come forward among other things. This book just makes me sad. AND a kid was made from it. What the hell people? ugh. The kid didn’t deserve that life wondering why people were looking and judging. Giving me all of the damn feels.

6. KIM’S ANTIQUES – a world you’d be afraid to enter

Hmm, I think this one is obvious.

Product Details

7. HARVARD VS. YALE – character who needs to make a life-changing decision

Well, who else better than Jonas. Okay I still need to read this but I know he has to make a decision so don’t slap my wrist about putting this on here when I haven’t read the book yet.

Product Details

8. LUKE’S DINER – a comfort read

what other than my favorites?

Product Details

9. AM I CRYING OR LAUGHING? – a book that messed with your emotions

Product DetailsProduct Details

I love these two books so much but whew! They make you cry your heart out and then laugh and then do that cycle all over again. And when I looked up these images there is a third book out now! I read these years ago so there wasn’t a third book out so I am Pumped. YOU GUYS!!! A THIRD book though. wow. I’m gonna go crazy over in a corner now. Thanks.

10. EMILY – the HBIC (Head Bitch in Charge)

Product Details

I’m only saying this because Rose is very headstrong, sassy and takes no shit.

11. LORELAI AND RORY – favorite family dynamic

Product Details

The Weasley’s – I mean come on! Who doesn’t love them?

12. I PUSHED HIM IN THE LAKE! – a book you’d throw in a lake

Product Details

I know I keep talking about this book in other posts, but I really hate this book so I can’t feel remorse if it gets to the bottom of the lake and no one sees it again. Please happen! Please PLEASE!!! My mom said she would rescue it but I never said what lake I’d throw it in. Also I would totally add weights so it would sink really fast and stay down.  Because I’m cruel like that, cue evil laugh.

13. 1000 YELLOW DAISIES – favorite romance

Product DetailsProduct DetailsProduct DetailsProduct DetailsProduct DetailsProduct Details

14. JESS – an unpopular opinion

Product Details

I read this and thought it was okay but I don’t really know why everyone loves it so much.

15. FIRST SNOW – snowy or holiday read

Product Details

This is such a cute and heartfelt Christmas story, I just love it.

16. HEP ALIEN – book centered around music

Product Details

17. HE’D BETTER HAVE A MOTORCYCLE! – your book crush

Product Details

Both Daniel and Mason and if you read it you would know why because damn.  Damn.

18. IT’S REPETITIVE AND REDUNDANT – a book that could have been shorter

Product Details

Yeah, I feel like it could have been shorter, I guess I just wasn’t as much of a fan as I thought I would be which is sad.

19. KIRK – the weirdest book you’ve ever read

I read this book called Subject19 and it was the weirdest book and I was traumatized and didn’t know what the fuck to think or do when I was done with it. It was the worst thing ever, I felt so bad for the characters it was fucked up. Worst book ever. Never again.  There was multiple rapes, torture, murders and other horrible things. I ended up thinking that the author was messed up and a little sick in the head to do things to characters like that. Making me wonder how the hell this book was even published and how it got to where I could get it, The only reason I finished the book was so I could make sure that at least some of the characters made it out of that hell hole alive. I mean, that’s what I imagine hell to be like, it was that bad.

20. IT’S A LIFESTYLE. IT’S A RELIGION – that one book that means more to you than any other

Product Details

Did you really think it could be anything else? come on now.

What book would YOU throw into the lake?

Is it the same or different than mine?

What is the weirdest book you’ve ever read?

Is it also the worst?

What Cats Do Tag

Here are some pictures of Buka, he passed away  2 months ago and he was almost 17 years old. He was the cutest damn thing ever with the spunkiest attitude.  He was so funny and quirky and fit right into our family and is missed every day. He loved moving around so much that it was hard to capture his picture sometimes even though he really did love his photo taken.

As cats do when they’re happy or relaxed. What is the book that makes you the happiest or relaxed?

It would have to be hands down HP as the series that makes me the happiest and relaxed and was the only one I could think of at the moment.  If I had to pick a certain one out of all of them it would be a tie between book 3, 5 and 7.

What is a book that put you to sleep or was just boring?

Fahrenheit 451: A Novel by [Bradbury, Ray]

I did read this all the way and I liked it, but if I was tired I couldn’t read it because I would fall asleep and the book would hit me in the face. 451 degree fans will probably say I deserved that but once again, I did say I liked it, just didn’t love it.

Twitch While Dreaming

Have you ever dreamt of a book you read?

Not that I can remember, no.

Seems to play nice … until the claws are out

Which book had the biggest plot twist?

Jake: Forbidden: M/M LBGT Erotica Paranormal Romance by [Barton, Kathi S]

Everything seemed like it would be a little messy, right? With a divorce but then shit hits the fan and I don’t know what’s up or down and I feel bad for the characters. Cheese and rice. I mean give him a fucking cheesecake already for dealing with this storm of a disaster. I pity a person who ends up with anyone like some of these SOB’s in here in life. Jake is a trooper, but seriously, where is his cheesecake?

Which book character would you give a hug to?

I would love to give Charlie a hug from this book. He has been through a lot and I think that every teenager needs a hug from someone safe who cares and would never hurt them in anyway possible, whether they will admit it or not. It just makes me sad that he doesn’t seem to get cared for really. Like, why?

What’s a book that made you have warm and fuzzy feels?

This book is so cute, all the books in the series are but there is just something about this one that gives you the warm and fuzzy feels. Once you read it you’ll know what I mean. Just do it!

Cat Breeds

What are your favorite books?

These are the only ones I could think of at the moment but I have so many favorite books it is not even funny.  These are just some of the classics to me that I love and tried to get some out of every genre that I could think of.

The Vet’s Office

Your least favorite book.

I had to read this in high school but I still would have disliked it had I read it on my own. I just couldn’t stand most the characters or what happened, it just made me angry to be honest. Then I had to write multiple papers on it and we spent half the year over it and that really pissed me off. So I fucking hate this book, really.

Being in Places They Shouldn’t

Least favorite cliche.

A virgin and a billionaire with a large damn age gap. Let’s come up with some different ideas , I’m not saying all the stories like these are bad but, really? There’s enough out there. Come on, be original.

The Good Old Cardboard Box

Most underrated book series.

Product DetailsProduct Details

Product Details

Now the reason I am saying this is because this series hasn’t been rated by enough people yet. Not a lot of people know about this awesome series, so it is underrated. I am currently reading the 3rd book so far and it is really cool.

Here are some #fun facts: I know the author because I started talking to him about his book series on Twitter. I also helped design the cool green color effect on the 3rd cover since our friendship started out from Twitter.  He’s a really cool guy and has a very vivid imagination.  Start Reading Now!

Thanks for reading this What Cats Do Tag and I invite and tag anyone who loves cats and would love to do this tag! Thanks again! Don’t forget to add photos of your own kitties if you’d like. Here’s a cute gif, just because…

The Intimidating TBR Pile Tag

I saw this on the  Bionic Book Worm blog and thought I would give it a try.  I believe that the creator of this book tag is Lindsey Rey. This will be my first Book Tag post so I am really excited! I also wanted to do this because my TBR pile is huge and I wanted to talk about some of the books on there and some that I took off.

It would definitely have to be The Other Typist: A Novel by  Suzanne Rindell.

I thought that I would love this book because it has the time setting of the 1920’s and talks about jazz music and speakeasies. It was in the time frame of when women had the cool and interesting jobs as typists and where they would cut their hair short and smoke. I love the 20’s, I just couldn’t get through the book because I felt like it was dragging and I guess I didn’t like the writing style either. This book just left me disappointed and unsatisfied. I hate not finishing a book for any reason but I couldn’t help it with this one. My mom took the copy from me and it is now in her possession.

Hmm, I would have to say that there are a lot of books I have neglected to read and it is really sad. Although I will only mention the two series I feel I have most neglected because I have had them for years. I just keep forgetting about them. It doesn’t help that they are in a tub with other books under my bed. So technically, it’s not my fault because you know the saying “out of sight, out of mind”.  The first one is The Giver Quartet Omnibus by Lois Lowry.

The second series I have also neglected pretty badly is The Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.

Alright, well I have already mentioned these two before on my blog, on my last post because I just got them and I didn’t realize that both of these books are in a series and both happen to be book #2 until I got home with them and looked it up. Here is the link to that other post:

The first one is called The Spiritglass Charade ( A Stoker & Holmes Novel ) by  Colleen Gleason.

Product Details

The second one is called The Mirk and Midnight Hour by Jane Nickerson Jane Nickerson.

Product Details

This book seems really interesting to me and I am so glad I bought it. The book is called The Way We Bared Our Souls by Willa Strayhorn. I haven’t read this one because I just bought it Thursday, but I do plan on reading it after I am done reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.

I was really disappointed with this one and it went onto my DNF list. So it’s called You Suck by  Christopher Moore. I had heard really great things about his writing so I checked out the audiobook from my library of  A Dirty Job: A Novel by him and I liked it. Although I wasn’t able to finish it before it was due, what I read of it was hilarious. So when I saw You Suck at my local Goodwill I got it but I started to read it and was like WHAT?! I couldn’t even get past the first 20 some pages because I couldn’t stand the two main characters. Which really sucks.

Ha! This one is just too funny to talk about because I haven’t been in the mood for since the beginning of March 2017. First of all the book is just peculiarly unique and strange like The X-Files TV show but mixed with random adultery with things to do with an occult. Normally, I am alright with weird stuff, but it is really out there and that’s saying something for me to remark that about it because I love The X-Files. It’s called Jago by Kim Newman.  Just read it and you’ll know why I’ve just been like ‘ nah, not today’ for months now. I love horror books too and this one I am just like, what the actual hell?

I borrowed the first book in this series from a friend and it felt like it took me FOREVER to finish it and I’m a fast reader so I am kinda hesitant to read the second book. Which is called Eldest ( Inheritance Cycle, Book 2 ) by Christopher Paolini. It is only 704 pages and I’ve read bigger books, but I am worried that this book will be like the first.

I had to think really hard on this one and it’s because I normally don’t buy books this  way but I did, in fact, do it with this book. Well sorta, I mean I saw the book cover and was like ‘what’s this about?’ Then I looked at the back cover and it sounded good… so a pretty cool cover with pretty cool innards. This is also a book I found at my local Dollar Tree, I always seem to hit the jackpot there. The book is called Threats: A Novel by Amelia Gray.  I mean, don’t you want to know what it is about?

Saved the most interesting one for last! It’s called The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through The Madness Industry by Jon Ronson.  The reason for my intimidation is because what if I have some of the traits? I mean at first I thought it would be interesting to see what is considered a psychopath but now I don’t know when I will read it for my irrational fear has gripped me for no reason at all.  I will have to read it eventually because it was a gift that I happened to ask for. I mean I have to get over this ridiculous irrational fear because I am probably missing out on an amazing book.

I really thought this tag was interesting, especially as my first one. What happens to be the book or books that intimidate you the most out of all? Comment down below, if you are willing to share. Well, have a good weekend everyone! If you don’t want to do this book tag, you don’t have to. Everyone is invited to do the tag if you wish. Let me know in the comments below if you do it so I can check it out! I love visiting other peoples blogs.  😉 🙂 Have fun!!!
